Empty Cradle

Postpartum Recovery - A group for mothers of angel babies

When women who were pregnant are confronted with the death of their child at the expected beginning of life, they need support from people who respect their pain. Many dreams, wishes, hopes, much love, tenderness and the desire to give remain unfulfilled after the death of a baby. Childbirth has caused physical changes that require holistic recovery in a particularly protected environment. Mothers meet in this ongoing group after the death of their children to find space and time for their grieving process and new hope. Course participation always includes an individual consultation with the course leader.
On request, an additional day with partners can be organised.

The course leader Sabine Agosta has personal experience with the loss of a child.

Most health insurance companies cover part of the costs. A reduction is possible if necessary.

Methods

  •     Body awareness and strengthening to regain confidence (breathing, movement, pelvic floor, back training)
  •     Conversation, exchange and information to clarify and relieve one's own feelings and to reorient oneself
  •     Creative expression to discover new paths of overcoming painful experiences that point toward the future.

Goals

  •     Taking time for the process after an existential crisis
  •     Being able to accept the painful loss as part of one's own life story in order to allow new perspectives to emerge
